Featuring profoundly Deaf dancer Anna Seymour and renowned contemporary jazz musician Myele Manzanza, ‘Out Of Earshot’ is a unique performative work that explores the power of non-verbal language, intense physical prowess and the role that sound plays within communication.

Static and dynamic visual expressions of sound formed the campaign to promote the work’s premiere at Chunky Move as part of Melbourne International Jazz Festival. Featuring stills photography by Jeff Busby, the campaign begins to explore a visual and physical expression of the show’s drumming score and Anna’s insight into a whole spectrum of sound available to be experienced.
