CFA MOBILE EDUCATION EXHIBITION & VEHICLE LIVERY

A design for custom built emergency services vehicles for the Country Fire Authority (CFA) was required that effectively positioned them as mobile place makers, media centres and education pods. The state of the art vehicles, fitted with Apple technology, assist fire crews during bushfire as well as provide important fire safety education to community members.

With a crucial role to play the design and materials used across the livery, such as diamond grade and reflective substrates, were incorporated to ensure maximum conspicuity during poor visibility day and night time bushfire conditions.

An exhibition strategy and design was devised to communicate vital, life saving information when the vehicles are activated as mobile education units. A custom analogue variable messaging system was developed to allow for easy updating of information by the CFA MEU team to ensure various languages, audience types and key messages could be easily and swiftly catered for. Analogue, multi-sensory and digital experiences were adopted across in-bus and exterior micro exhibitions to ensure that all kinds of learners were effectively engaged with.
