RED CROSS REDIPLAN
RediPlan is an Australian Red Cross initiative educating the community on the value of practical steps of ‘preparedness’ for increased resilience before, during and after the event of an emergency. With a keen focus on the psychosocial impacts of emergencies on individuals and communities, we identified the opportunity to forge a less ‘authoritative path’ by humanising this vital information wherever possible to empower and educate the audience in an engaging, accessible and relevant manner. An ownable, colour coded visual language that could be effectively applied across various applications, from a digital app to a postcard at a community centre, was developed.
Beyond the design of the RediPlan guides and key applications Grosz Co.Lab were also involved in identifying key strategic partnership opportunities, facilitating internal engagement with staff and key stakeholders and delivering a toolkit of RediPlan elements for the internal Red Cross digital and design teams to interpret and execute across day to day communications. Presented in Parliament, endorsed by celebrity ambassadors, and finally taken by a team of presenters on the road - the RediPlan initiative continues to receive widespread uptake and engagement across communities in urban and regional locations Australia wide.
